Elementary School in West Sulawesi with Walled and Grounded Walls Less Attention from Local Government

Tabloid Nasional. There are still many schools that have not been noticed. One of them was a distant class at SDN 044 Riso, Tondopata Hamlet, Riso Village, Tapango District, West Sulawesi (Sulbar).

Since it was established independently by local residents at the end of 2008, this far-reaching school building has not yet been touched by the government's attention. In fact, from day to day, the condition of school buildings made from wood is increasingly alarming.

"Until now there has never been any assistance. The buildings and the needs of students to learn are all self-supporting by citizens,", Thursday (11/22/2018).

This distant class school was deliberately built by residents to facilitate children in this area to obtain education. The distance to the main school which reaches 3.5 kilometers and is reached by foot. As a result, this was the reason for the number of elementary school-age children in Tondopata Hamlet dropping out of school.

"That is why residents in this hamlet really expect attention from the government so that the existence of this school will receive support, both material and moral, so that the existence of this remote class school can still be maintained," Sapriadi continued.

At first this far class school had 43 students sitting in class I to IV benches. This number has dropped dramatically to only 17 students who sit on classes I to III.

"The reason is because the teaching staff is lacking, now there is only one person, many children stop going to school, others are forced to move to close to the main school," Sapriadi said.
